1920s Addition

In the 1920s, Sarah Bryan and her husband, Oscar Heard, owned the house. They transformed the homestead into a retreat, naming it Camp Heard. A detached kitchen was added on the north side, connected by a covered walkway. During renovations, a pass-through window was uncovered, suggesting that meals were once handed across this window to feed the gathered visitors.

By the 1950s, the kitchen was equipped with plumbing, electricity, and modern appliances. In later years, the house's first bathroom was added to the walkway. Over time, the remaining section of the open walkway was enclosed with aluminum windows, creating a sunroom.

By 2020, vandals and termites had damaged the addition beyond repair. Consequently, a new kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom were installed within the original footprint of the addition.
